CREAMSICLE PROSECCO FLOATS #drinks #desserts

These Creamsicle Prosecco Floats are suggestive of a youth most loved treat, and just require 3 fixings! They are ideal for early lunch with companions, dessert on a warm night, or at whatever point you need to treat yourself!

In case you're a 90s child like me, or even 80s, you most likely recall those creamsicle Flintstone push pops, or the creamsicle popsicles with the frozen yogurt inside and orange outside. That is to say, how great right?! The Flintstone ones were my undisputed top choice, and I will never at any point overlook that taste. Sitting outside on the yard in the sweltering warmth, the frozen yogurt running down my hands, pondering how I could persuade my mother to give me another. Isn't it interesting the seemingly insignificant details you recall from your adolescence?

I was feeling nostalgic and dreaming about Spring and hotter temperatures (this has been the longest winter EVER), so I chose to make springy/summery grown-up form of one of my preferred youth treats!

Ingredients

  • 1-2 scoops vanilla ice cream
  • 1-2 scoops orange sherbet
  • prosecco or champagne
  • fresh mint and orange curls for garnish*

Instructions

  1. Place the scoops of vanilla ice cream and orange sherbet in a glass. You want something deep because they will foam up quite a bit! Top with desired amount of prosecco and garnish with a sprig of mint and an orange curl. Serve immediately!

Recipe Notes
*To make my orange curls, I use a sharp paring knife to slice some peel off of an orange, and then I thinly slice it into strips. I then form them into curls and press tightly with my fingers so they keep their shape!
