BANANA BLOSSOM VEGAN FISH #vegetarian #lunch

This Vegan Fish made with Banana Blossoms is groundbreaking – particularly on the off chance that you believed that you could eat nothing has an aftertaste like fish once more! The delicate and flaky surface of the banana blossoms is flawless as the base!

I've seen two or three fishy plans with banana blooms on Pinterest and promptly realized that I needed to check out them. In any case, I've never observed banana blooms in the stores, so I thought it was one of the fixings I could never get my hands on. You can most likely think about how energized I was the point at which I found a jar of banana blooms in brackish water at my neighborhood Asian market. I nearly went nuts.

For the readiness, I sort of followed the way toward making tofish (fish made with tofu). The banana blooms are hurled in a flour blend, at that point plunged in a player, and seared until brilliant earthy colored. I've served them with Oven Baked Potato Slices and Tartar Sauce. This is fishy dream materialized! I've had nothing that tasted THAT MUCH like fish. The banana blooms are the ideal base since they are delicate and flaky. Nori, lemon juice, and dill in the flour blend and player include the run of the mill fishy flavors. I energetically prescribe making a tartar sauce to present with this vegetarian fish. It's so acceptable!

Ingredients

  • 1 can banana blossoms in brine (20 oz)
  • frying oil

Flour Mixture

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon dill
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons crushed nori

Batter

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 pinch turmeric
  • 1 tablespoon pickle juice
  • 1 tablespoon caper brine (or sub with more pickle juice)
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup sparkling water

Instructions

  1. Rinse and drain the banana blossoms.
  2. In separate bowls, combine the ingredients for the flour mixture and whisk together the ingredients for the batter.
  3. In a pot or wok, heat the frying oil. You'll want enough so that the battered banana blossoms can swim in the oil but make sure you leave enough space in the pot/wok so that it doesn't spill over.
  4. Coat the banana blossoms in the flour mixture. Then dip them in the batter. Carefully lower them in the oil. Let them fry for about 4-5 minutes until golden brown, flipping them once.
  5. Transfer the fried banana blossoms onto a kitchen paper to remove excess oil. Serve with tartar sauce, fries, and mashed peas, for example. Add fresh dill on top and squeeze with lemon juice.
