Half a month back, while observing Bill Beaucoup's birthday and being disturbed by Rosie Beaucoup's wrecked wrist, I was acquainted with the Dark and Stormy. It's the kind of drink that causes you to feel better about being stuck on level 65 of Candy Crush for about fourteen days in a row. It is both zesty and reviving simultaneously. It likewise does a wide range of marvelous to your head when you drink a couple on an extremely sweltering summer's night. (Exercise learned.)

Turns out the Dark and Stormy is the national beverage of Bermuda. I don't know whether that has been authoritatively announced, yet I think they should think about putting it on their banner. 2.0 likes to consider it the Dark and Cozy. Most likely supposing that you have such a large number of them, things go all dull and somebody needs to toss a cover over you after you twist up on the floor.

Since 2.0 and I are truly into science, we tried a couple of plans for you. It's everything about proportions, yo. A few plans require a 1:1 proportion of ginger lager to rum. We found that this makes you madly alcoholic in the event that you are even the slightest bit parched, and it's difficult to have supper when you can't feel your teeth. Along these lines, with further testing, we found that a proportion of 3:1 fit our preferences and requirement for usefulness – that is three sections ginger brew to one section dim rum. Be that as it may, don't hesitate to get jiggy with the extents.

INGREDIENTS :

  • ice
  • limes, cut into wedges
  • crystallized ginger
  • ginger beer (try to find a brand with some spicy kick)
  • dark rum

INSTRUCTIONS :

  1. Throw some ice cubes into a glass.
  2. Squeeze some lime juice over the ice.
  3. Throw half a slice of crystallized ginger in – it will make your drink extra spicy.
  4. Slowly pour the ginger beer over the ice.
  5. Slowly top with dark rum – the rum will sit on the ginger beer like a storm cloud. I like a ratio of one ounce of dark rum for every three ounces of ginger beer – adjust according to your own tastes.
  6. Garnish with a lime wedge.
  7. Gently stir before drinking.
