Solid, loaded with fiber, and softly improved, these Chocolate Steel Cut Oats are a wonderful breakfast for the week, with interminable garnish thoughts!
In this way, these Chocolate Steel Cut Oats are daintily improved with nectar (or maple syrup) and some chocolate chips liquefied into the oats (my mystery stunt for somewhat more chocolate flavor oomph!). In the event that you are a hardcore chocolate fan, that needs an overly sweet breakfast still, at that point you may need to include more chocolate chips top of your oats and use sugar rather than nectar.
The nectar gives the oats somewhat of a nectar improved flavor, as opposed to a sugar-improved flavor that is progressively impartial. I totally love nectar, and lean toward a progressively common sugar when I can utilize it, so this is the manner by which I like to make my Chocolate Steel Cut Oats! 🙂

Ingredients
- 1 cup steel cut oats, certified gluten-free
- 3 cups water
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 3 tbsp cocoa powder
- 2 tbsp honey (or maple syrup)
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1/8 cup chocolate chips (dairy-free if necessary)
Instructions
- Add your three cups of water to a pot and bring the pot to a boil on high heat. Add your steel cut oats and salt to the water, reduce the stove to low heat (to simmer) and put the lid on your pot.
- Simmer for 15-20 minutes, or till the oats are cooked through, stirring occasionally. The oats should be tender enough that they aren't completely chewy, but still have a bit of chew to them.
- Remove the oats from the heat, and add in your cocoa powder, honey, vanilla and chocolate chips. Stir until everything is well combined.
- Serve into bowls and top with your favorite toppings of choice. Extra chocolate chips are always a good choice!
